Anti Aging for the Hair

Aging in America had become more and more of a hot topic as the media seems to put greater emphasis and value on our youth culture. Many might describe what has happened in our country, is a nation that has become very youth obsessed. In doing so, we have seemingly placed less and less value on those who pass a certain age point.

We often currently hear people mocking all the signs of aging. Rather than viewing the aging process as a natural part of life to be celebrated, we now collectively seem to perceive aging as a disease that is to be cured somehow.

The fact is more aging American workers feel vulnerable to their younger competition. This is pushing more of the aging workforce into the offices of dermatologists and plastic surgeons looking to freshen up their appearance and turn back the hands of time. This is not just for women, but for men as well. The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery says that males now make up 21% of their current client base. That’s up 3% in just the past 3 years. Many of these men and women justify their reasoning with wanting to stay competitive in the job market.

No demographic has poured more money into this industry, than the Baby Boomers. The Baby Boomers have driven many great economical trends throughout the past 40 years. First it was the Ford Mustang of 60’s and 70’s. In the early 80’s, it was the mini-van and then the microwave.

Now, instead buying microwave technology for food these days, many Boomers are lining up to microwave their skin to a tighter and more youthful appearance. New advances in laser technology have made it much easier to heat up and lift up that sagging skin.

In fact, the skincare technology is continuously making tremendous strides in it’s advancements to keep Boomers and all people looking younger. Most attention in the media really has been focused on the skin however. Many forget the hair and the effect that aging can have on the hair follicles.

What good is a youthful looking face, if the hair on top of the face looks very aged. Aged Boomer men and women might even try to mask aged hair with wigs or toupees that don’t really look age appropriate. This perhaps can come from a need to overcompensate for the hair that is starting to disappear.

In 95% of these hair loss cases, the cause is DHT, otherwise known as dihydrotestosterone. Keep in mind, DHT has been found to be the leading cause of hair loss for men and women of all ages. Revivogen, a dermatologist formulated topical hair loss treatment, takes some of the latest natural ingredients found to effectively combat DHT, and puts them all into one serum. When applying nature’s most potent anti-DHT components regularly to the scalp, you can help maintain the hair that you do have. You also stand a good chance of bringing back the hair that you’ve lost from as far back as 3 years ago.

The best part of all of this, is that you are bringing back and nurturing your own hair to maintain a vibrant and healthy look. Because it is your own hair, it won’t look fake or overly exaggerated. Your youthful hair can also match your youthful attitude that always comes from looking as good as you feel.

Remember however, that feeling is something that has to start from within and has to be independent of society’s attitude towards you. You are more than a number, so don’t let your value be based upon that. This is something that Baby Boomers and people of all ages can relate to.
