The Science
A variety of cellular processes contribute to thinning hair and hair loss. Unlike other hair loss treatments, Revivogen® targets multiple key causes to put a stop to the hair loss process.
The cell is home to the genetic blueprints that give our bodies instructions on how to perform and act-including how to grow hair. Inherited from both parents, the genes that cause hair loss become activated by DHT, a hormone that is present in high levels in both men and women after puberty. Hair loss may be in your genes, but Revivogen can help.
Testosterone enters the hair follicle cell through special gateways known as androgen receptors and sets off a chain reaction that produces DHT, the key to hair loss. Revivogen prevents testosterone from entering the cell by blocking the androgen receptors.
Inside the hair follicle cells, testosterone is converted to DHT by the enzyme 5 alpha reductase (5AR). DHT acts like a trigger that activates the hair loss genes and ultimately shuts down normal hair production. Revivogen reduces DHT production by shutting down these enzymes.
Without DHT, the hair loss genes become inactive, hair loss stops and the follicles begin producing normal, healthy hair again. In order to accelerate hair growth, Revivogen also uses ingredients that are proven to stimulate and activate the hair follicle's growth phase.
